I looked into various techniques of how to create joints that won't need additional fastening. By researching different methods it helped me to grasp how 3-D shapes could be both created and assembled from a 2-D material and also how I might set up an illustrator file for laser cutting with the least amount of wasted material. In studio we discussed tolerances when cutting shapes that fit together which will be something to consider when it comes to laser cutting my designs.
